Good to hear of Eaglecrest's success in building the industry. Please, beware of condo developers bearing gifts or your beautiful place will be ... "californicated" and loved to death. Too many small mountains towns have lost their souls to industrial tourism. Let it feed the locals and not the circling sharks. 💖 I say this as a former native of Salt Lake City who loved to hang out in Park City. It's so changed now, I can no long find my way around.
What a wonderful way to began my Saturday. I love reading the stories of the life you live.
There are so many memories dragging my kids to Eaglecrest., learning to ski there myself at age 27 and how much more I enjoyed winters when Eaglecrest was part of my winter.
As someone who used to ride but no longer does, its heart warming to read this. Ah i remember those days!
Also, im glad that SOMEBODY loves all the snow! Cuz RN it aint me sorry! 😜 but i love it for all of you and i will try so hard to keep our little hill afloat!

Thanks Sue. Good to know. We’re pretty much the opposite extreme around here. No condos on the horizon. Anytime soon…
Thank goodness!
Love this, Katie. Wish I were there--mostly though, I just wish I could still ski.
Thank you friend. But you can write!
Katie—Thank you for this beautifully uplifting piece. I do hope you send it to our city leaders.
I certainly will. You are welcome! And thank YOU for your compelling and inspiring writing.
